Couples may also benefit from help with problem solving and the development of greater insight regarding their relationship.  Couples usually attend weekly or bi-weekly counseling sessions.

Relationship and couple’s counseling allows two people to attend the same session with the intention of conflict resolution, deepening respect, and building communication skills.  Although couple’s counseling is most associated with those in committed relationships such as married partners, any two people who care about each other and want to strengthen their connection could benefit.  Such relationships might include, siblings, friends or work associates.  As with individual counseling, the weekly 45 – 50 minute session is common, however, some prefer 75 minute sessions to make sure both parties have time to fully express themselves.
